Hey there, I’m Brandon Starc and I’m an Olympic high jumper from Sydney, Australia.
May 2009. Unknowingly back then, this was the time my high jumping career was about to begin. I attended The Hills Sports High School in Seven Hills and at the time I did not have a coach nor was I too serious about high jump. 3 years into my high schooling life that slowly changed and through the Athletics Coordinator Nicole Watson and her suggestion, I started training with Alex Stewart. I for one had no idea that this would be the start of something great.
May 2009 personal best: 1.88m.
15 months later I was standing on the dais in Singapore at the first ever Youth Olympic Games receiving a Silver medal.
August 2010 personal best: 2.19m.
